News website for prestigious Royal Show
The Royal Norfolk Show is an annual agricultural show, and is held by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association. It has been held almost every year since 1847 and is the largest 2 day agricultural show in the country. Having been forced to cancel the 2020 and 2021 show due to COVID a new website was commissioned to assist with the relaunch for 2022.
Affinity's brief was to not only insure the new site provided all the key information regarding the show plus intuitive user journey's to purchase tickets but also portray the way the show was evolving. As Managing Director of the RNAA, Mark Nicholas put it "There will be a fresh look to the show, and the changes will be about making it more efficient."
With an exciting new corporate identity to work with Affinity set about designing an engaging and interactive site which included an improved diary of events which could also act as a real time aid during the show.
A custom built hosting infrastructure has been provided by Affinity to enable the site to cope with high spikes in traffic in the weeks leading up to and during the show.
Affinity have also recently launched a B2B site for the show to extol the reasons for local and national businesses to get involved and will also be launching new sites for the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association and The Royal Norfolk Showground in due course.
