Creative Arts East is an arts and community development charity committed to bringing the very best arts and cultural activities to rural and/or under-engaged audiences across the eastern region. CAE are a member of the National Rural Touring Forum
To achieve this they help people access and engage with high-quality arts experiences, including live performances, cinema screenings, creative workshops and training sessions.
Their previous website was buckling under the load! After many previous updates and add-ons, many elements were broken and CAE realised it was time to commission a new site.
The front end of the website is utilised to engage audiences, recruit new promoters, solicit donations and of paramount importance detail and allow ticket purchases for events. However, a bespoke management system was required as part of the back end of the site.
With complex functionality requirements including promoter subscriptions, the ability to book and hire equipment, scheduling of events and ticket sales and more there was no off-the-shelf system commercially available which answered the brief. So Affinity developed a solution and utilised WooCommerce to facilitate Ecommerce facilities for events and subscription purchases.
Affinity was commissioned to design and build both the front and back end of this exciting project and is pleased to have launched the site in Q1.
