Content Marketing & Outreach Executive

Overview

 

Affinity are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced content marketing executive to join their team. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a national client base within an award-winning agency and develop your digital marketing knowledge within the experienced online marketing team at Affinity.

 

The right candidate must be a self-starting individual, with strong organisational and written skills. You must have a proven background / experience in content marketing, outreach and digital PR, and be committed to keeping up to date with industry news, trends and best practices. Knowledge and experience of all digital marketing disciplines including SEO, PPC, Social and Affiliate Marketing is advantageous but not essential.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

·       Content marketing strategy and planning

·       Content creation from ideation to execution

·       Digital PR and outreach activities to promote content executions

·       Reporting

·       Maintaining client relationships

·       Collaboratively working with the online marketing team

·       Define and implement high quality link strategies for a diverse range of Affinity clients through content marketing

·       Use a wide range of tools for analysis, tracking, monitoring and evaluation of competitor link profiles to help inform and improve client link portfolios

·       Undertake low quality and redundant link removal processes

·       Maintain detailed and accurate records of the link portfolios you build

·       Liaise with external stakeholders where necessary to maximise the potential for achieving high quality links from content and PR plans

·       Develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each of the clients you work with

·       Regularly feedback insights gained from link building activities into the Marketing team, to help them evolve their strategies

·       Monitor trends in outreach and link building, tools and applications

·       Efficiently manage your workload and accurately record your time using the company project management system

 

Skills Required

 

·       Experience of digital PR, outreach and content marketing

·       Thorough understanding of content marketing and outreach and how it fits into the full digital marketing mix

·       Strong organisational and time-keeping skills

·       Excellent written and communication skills (Inc. telephone manner)

·       Strong research and analysis skills

·       Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)

·       Experience with Google Analytics / web analytics packages

·       Proven history of high level link acquisition via creative content marketing execution

·       Demonstrable expert knowledge of a wide variety of creative and ethical link building strategies and techniques

·       Extensive knowledge and depth of understanding of how search engines rank web pages

·       Demonstrable knowledge of blogs, blogging and forum commenting

·       Proven history of building relationships via digital channel (blogs, social media & forums) to aid content promotion

·       Thorough working knowledge of all the major social media channels including but not exclusively, Google+, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter

·       Highly organised and proactive with strong planning and time management skills

·       The ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver quality work within tight deadlines
