Our social & environmental impact
At Affinity we aim to make a positive long-term contribution to society and the environment. We’re committed to making the necessary changes that will benefit the wider world, and to encourage progressive change in our own communities.
Group Managing Director
Social and ecological challenges and inequality have encouraged affinity to continually strive to improve and increase our commitments to the environment, our communities and to each other.
Where possible, we use organic, recycled, ethically and locally sourced materials and try to promote an environmentally friendly, plastic free environment, using local businesses to support the local economy.See What We've Been Doing
Who we are helping / working with
We have a winner in the Bonsai Growing competition...
After a tense and closely run competition, Max has been crowned the victor with his beautiful little Bonsai (the only one that actually survived the whole year). He’s donating his £70 winnings to The Nick Alexander Memorial Trust, who donate musical equipment to community groups and small charities across the country.

Our Charity of theYear is Norfolk YMCA
We have a charity of the year which we help and do pro-bono work for - this year we ‘ve chosen Norfolk YMCA. Not only do they unlock the potential of young people throughout the community, but they also provide much needed accommodation and support to the most vulnerable people in our county. They do so much for others, that we’re honoured to be able to help them
We have twinned our toilets
We’ve twinned our toilets with ones in impoverished countries, helping to funds access to clean water, hygiene, education and basic sanitation. We even have a certificate hanging in the throne rooms!
All new starters get a goat donated in their name
A hardy goat is the gift of sustainability, which means fertilizer and food for families—especially those living in areas that cannot support less-durable critters. The goats are provided fully vaccinated and are guaranteed to be fit and healthy, allowing their new owners to earn a living from the milk, manure and kids.
All our sanitary & cleaning products are eco friendly
We have sourced plastic free environmentally friendly versions of all our sanitary needs from ‘Ernies Eco Store’ locally based in Norwich
Who gives a crap? We do…
We exclusively use Who Gives A Crap toilet paper in the office. They’re made entirely from environmentally friendly materials and 50% of their profits go to helping build toilets for people in need. Over £1.5 million has been donated so far, and we’re proud to play our small part in that.
We’ll serve you Blue Bear Coffee

Where we are making a difference
We plan on making a difference locally, nationally and internationally by supporting and working with organisations all over the world…
We’re all part of the same society, the same community, and the same planet. That’s why it’s so important to us to support the places that we call home.
