Affinity were appointed by long standing client, Carnevale of London to create a new brand for their range of Buffalo Mozzarella products manufactured in the UK using imported buffalo milk from the Campania region of Italy. Affinity's Creative Director, Gideon Graylyons used his interest in all things Italian and knowledge of the language to create both the brand name and the logo design of the new brand which will be used on all packaging and promotional material. The brand 'Bufalatte' is a clever mix of two Italian words, bufala (bufalo) and latte (milk). As well as creating the new brand, Affinity were responsible for researching the trademark availability and advising on brand registration to protect future rights.

Carnevale’s humble beginnings date back to 1966 when two young brothers, Carmine and Giovanni Carnevale, from the appennine village of Capracotta in Molise, Southern Italy established the company and began manufacturing and selling mozzarella and ricotta for the first time in central London. As the popularity of the Carnevale brand, and moreover Italian food in general, grew the company expanded adding numerous manufactured and imported product lines to the portfolio.

Today, Carnevale’s extensive range of premium foods, provisions and beverages are distributed all over the country by its own fleet of vehicles that set off daily from one of six depots. Carnevale remains a family-run business with various members of the family’s second generation joining and continuing the work of evolving the company and upholding its reputation as a leader in its field. In the past 15 years Carnevale has acquired other Italian food importing and wholesales companies (namely Pronto Provisions and J&G Italian Food), manufacturing premises (Valerio) and began working in partnership with Belloni wine merchants & Pasta & Pasta.
