New app launch for The Sainsbury Centre

Affinity have just launched a new iPad App for The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA).

SCVA is one of around a hundred university museums in the UK and first opened it’s doors in 1978 when Sir Robert (1906 – 2000) and Lady Sainsbury (1912 – 2014) donated their collection of world art to the University of East Anglia.

The ‘Sainsbury Collection Highlights’ app allows users to view and discover a carefully selected collection of pieces within the SCVA’s overall collection.  By featuring imagery, descriptions and videos within an innovative GUI users of the app are able to gain a deeper understanding of the pieces featured.

It is planned to be utilised within the Centre and by educational institutions.
